Dune: first it was a novel

Everyone has heard or seen the new version of the movie Dune with Zendaya and Timothee Chalamet right? Well did you know it is based on a book? The book was polarizing in the science fiction community when it came out and now with the new publicity it might again. I usually prefer the book to the movie version so to really get my sense of the topics they cover you can catch me picking up the book at the closest Barnes & Noble. What do you guys think?
